Book Review ☆ Perfectly Imperfect by Harper Sloan +Excerpt & Giveaway

♡ Meet Willow and Kane in the newest stand alone by Harper Sloan!

Mirror, mirror ... who's the fairest of them all?
I still cringe when I hear that line. A fairy tale that had girls pretending they were the fairest, the most beautiful, and the most entitled. A fairy tale most couldn't grow out of turned my haunted childhood memories into a living nightmare. Girls who grew up believing that pile of garbage became the meanest of all 'mean girls.'
And those mean girls were right - it was a line meant for all the beautiful people in the world - and I knew the answer would never be me.
The women with long legs, flat stomachs, and perfect chests.
The type of women Kane Masters gravitated toward.
Well, that's definitely not Willow Tate.
No. That will never be me.
Because I'm completely imperfect.
And ... I hate myself.
I have no idea what Kane could possibly see in someone like me when he could have them.

One word I would use to describe this book would be, PHENOMENAL! Harper Sloan, you are AMAZING!

Willow comes from an upbringing were she is shamed for just being born. The death of her mother leaves her to being raised by a step-father who hates her and a sister who always wishes the worst on Willow. Her life is an everyday battle with herself to just be normal. But to Willow normal is not just being herself, normal in her world means being perfect. The perfect size, the perfect body, the perfect life.

Kane Masters, an amazing actor, up and coming movie producer and an all-around great guy. He’s got it all and is amazingly handsome. But one look into her eyes and Kane knows at that moment that something is missing in his life.

I started this book with an open mind and an open heart. Knowing ahead from the descriptions of this book that this story was going to be a heart string puller I completely and fully dove right in to it. Willow stole my breath and captured my mind from the beginning and until the very end. Reading her story and seeing her life written in these pages was amazing. Willow struggles with body image issues. That struggle leads to many people in her life mentally abusing her. By allowing those around her, to constantly shame her, has made Willow weak. Now on to the amazing Kane, the handsome and charming actor. He surely is a knight in shining armor. Literally swooping in and saving our Perfectly Imperfect Willow. One of my favorite parts in the story had to be the office scene. Seeing Willow interact with Kane during that time was beautiful. My least favorite parts was none but I did have a strong hate feeling towards Willow’s ugly sister Ivy. Actually all of Willow’s family was horrendous. I loved Willow’s BFF’s Eddie and Kirby! I need those two as my best friends ASAP! This book is an amazing read and touched on a subject that many of us, as women, face on a daily battle. We battle with our minds telling us that we are perfect but are at a constant war with what society deems perfection. I raise my glass high in the air to you, Harper Sloan, for writing this story and sharing a piece of yourself along with it. Toast all around to you!! Go now and one-click this book!! Or add it to your TBR list ASAP!

Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed 'Estrogen Ocean', much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her eReader attached. She enjoys bad reality TV and cheesy romantic flicks. Her favorite kind of hero--the super alpha kind! Harper started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn't take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.
