**Hard To Fight is a full-length standalone romance with a HEA**

Bella Jewel’s Hard to Fight, book one in her new Alpha’s Heart series, is a fast paced read with sexy moments and good comedic timing.

Gracie’s profession as a bounty hunter is something she’s passionate about, but the male-dominated career choice forces her to be held down by stereotypes and prejudices. With every job she acquires, she makes it her mission to prove to her haters that she can in fact get the job done and do it well.
Her biggest case yet falls in her hands and it’s the perfect assignment to once and for all end the gender-bashing. She won’t let anyone or anything stand in her way of bringing in the dangerous criminal Raide Knox. Not event he fact that he’s much taller and heavier than her.
Gracie soon finds that there is not only more to Knox than meets the eye, but that his criminal past may not be 100% accurate.

Grace’s sassiness and determination to make a name for herself within the world of men in which her career was set in was admirable. I loved seeing her stand up for herself, and I quite enjoyed the scenes in which she handled the bad guys. A female bounty hunter is quite the badass title, and I expected nothing less.
Unfortunately, her downfall in my eyes was due in great part to the very thing the males were bashing her for. *SPOILER She ended up letting her lust and heart rule over her job. I would’ve been able to bypass this detail had she have had a deeper connection with Raide. END OF SPOILER* It didn’t make me hate the storyline, but I was disappointed in that aspect of the novel. I never felt that she redeem herself from that either.

Raide was intimidating and cocky, and at times, a complete douchebag. However, there were moments in which his vulnerability shined through and it was a completely different side to him that gained my sympathy. He too was determined to make things right in his life, but that vengeful streak was what led him to come off as an ass without reason.

The action certainly made up for my lack of adoration for the characters, and the dialogue was written well enough to entertain me throughout.

Overall, the story was engaging and it read rather quickly. Many Bella Jewel fans will devour this book and no doubt be smitten with the alpha hero.
