Find out if rock sensation Simon can break through tough-girl Devon’s steely exterior—if he can keep his head on straight, that is—in this second sizzling romance in the True series!

Devon Jenkins is a feisty blonde, and Simon Cole is the arrogant, sexy guitarist playing in her brother’s band. When they met for the first time, it went something like this: He hit on her, she shot him down, he made a lewd joke, she told him he was an idiot.

In the two years since then, not much has changed. From the way Simon flirts shamelessly with any set of ovaries within a 100-mile radius, Devon knows the smartest thing she can do is keep an impenetrable wall between them.

But sometimes the smart choice isn’t necessarily the right one…

Liora Blake’s debut novel True North was surprisingly good and it allowed me to meet Devon and Simon. Who are of course our main protagonists of True Devotion.
This was a great second novel, and in my honest opinion, an even stronger story than her first. And if you miss Kate and Trevor from the book one, no worries because you’ll see plenty of them.

I loved this story so much, simply because of the way Devon and Simon’s relationship slowly grew. Even before book one, these two had formed a relationship, and since then it had a natural progression into something more. It wasn’t a case of insta-love, but a love much deeper and significant.

Devon tried very hard to ignore her feelings for Simon and just didn’t want to dissect exactly what her feelings were and meant. Under the sexual jokes and constant squabbling, both highly entertaining may I add, there was a much more meaningful and undeniable connection.
On the outside, Simon is a cocky, rock god that gets around, but he was actually the farthest thing from that. Once Devon gave in to what her body and heart was screaming at her, she was able to see Simon for who he truly was.

Both Devon and Simon had gone through heartbreaking events in their past, but where Simon has learned to come to terms with it and move on, Devon tried to simply forget.
Simon was such a strong character and influential person to Devon. He was exactly the right person for her, because he was the only one able to give her that push she desperately needed so that she could deal with her demons once and for all.

Devon was certainly frustrating at times, but in her defense, her past had everything to do with her confusion and lack of confidence. Finding her inner strength also enabled her to let happiness become a part of her life. The reason  for her guardedness towards men was always a black cloud over life. Letting Simon in was the first step into revitalizing her world.

There was a lot more humor mixed in to this story and this couple had more quirks that made for an adorable relationship and two unforgettable characters. I really enjoyed this story more than the first in the series, so if you liked True North, I recommend picking this one up.

True Devotion can easily be read as a standalone novel if preferred.
