Blog Tour ☆ Execution Style (Code 11-KPD SWAT #4) by Lani Lynn Vale ☆ Review & Giveaway

Miller Spurlock might seem like a laid back man on the outside, but piss him off, or violate his trust, and he’ll show you the meaning of pain.
He was a Navy SEAL.  He could kill a man a hundred different ways and not break a sweat.
He’s also a police officer and member of the SWAT team, which means he has the knowledge and skills to get away with it.
Rage boils in his gut when he witnesses what happens to the beautiful Mercy Shepherd during a SWAT op from hell that even his worst nightmare couldn’t conjure up.  And it surprises the hell out of him when she wants him, and him only, to comfort her in the aftermath.
Miller becomes the one shining beacon of light at the bottom of Mercy’s pit of despair.
The one man that could pull her through the rough days ahead and make her whole again.
And during her road back to herself, she realizes that she’s got the one thing she ever wanted in life…a hero to call her own.

You and I aren’t so different. I have my scars that I don’t want brought out into the light, and you have your scars that you wish were taken back into the shadow. But I guarantee you this,” he said softly. “I won’t ever leave you, and I won’t ever do anything to you that’ll hurt you. I’ll be your shadow that makes sure you’re always protected. This I swear to you,” he rasped against my forehead.
Miller is living the life of a bachelor. He’s a member of the KPD SWAT team. With no complaints, he loves his life, his brothers and women all women.

Mercy is trapped in a real life nightmare situation. One that all of the KPD SWAT team takes witness of. Coming back from the nightmare and having to live life regularly might be too much for Mercy. But one SWAT member is determine to help her overcome and continue on.

Ok up front warning!!! I cried reading the first chapter of the book. Why you may ask? The beginning scene in the book was mega intense. Lani Lynn did an amazing job in writing this particular scene. It has so much emotion and grit that it was hard not to shed some tears. Now on to Miller and Mercy. We all might remember Miller from Downy and Memphis’ story. He was a part of that whole wall coming down on Memphis scene. Oh yeah that was Miller lol. Reading Miller and Mercy’s story was highly emotional at times. They meet during a traumatic event and then go on to fall in love. There are so many reasons why this couple should not be together. Why there relationship should fail. But Miller and Mercy persevere and conquer all doubts. Not only is story emotional but also suspenseful. It feels as if poor Mercy cannot have a moment of peace. She has a crazy ex-mother in-law to be, that just won’t stop harassing her. A town full of arrogant people that just keep trying to pass judgment on her and that’s just a hint at her life. Miller is wonderful! Getting to see him go all Alpha male on the people that are trying to cause Mercy grief was great. As always Lani Lynn Vale deliveries us another wonderful read. Looking forward to her next book in the series. These books are truly getting so good that it is much harder to wait for the next one. Execution Style is a must add to your TBR list and is definitely a 5 kiss rating!!
