Searching for Always by Jennifer Probst ★ Blog Tour Review & Giveaway
SEARCHING FOR ALWAYS is the 4th book in the Searching For series; published by Gallery Books June 30th.New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Jennifer Probst sparks a blissful mind-body connection as her “sexy, satisfying” (Kirkus Reviews) new series continues!
She’s an expert in helping others de-stress, but Arilyn Meadows is running on fumes. Along with her job counseling singles seeking soul mates at the Kinnections agency in Verily, New York, she’s a yoga teacher, animal shelter volunteer, anger management therapist, and helping hand to her beloved grandfather. No time to find Mr. Right—but after discovering her yogi boyfriend in a compromising asana, Arilyn would rather dog-sit for her honeymooning friend Kate than risk her heart on another downward dog.
And when police officer Stone Petty—radiating masculinity and bad-boy attitude—is sent to her for mandatory lessons in cooling off when the job gets too hot, Arilyn vows to ignore his seductive glances and sexy grin. But there’s no halting their sizzling flirtation—a red-hot, high-speed chase that’s breaking all the limits.
Jennifer Probst always gives us such beautiful stories with spectacular writing to boot.
I was so excited for Arilyn and Stone to get their own story. Seeing the chemistry they had in just a few short scenes in the previous book set a precedent for just how amazing this book was going to be.
Arilyn Meadows has been burned time and time again. And by the same guy no less. Now she’s on the path of healing from her ex-lovers deception. She now struggles with trusting any man. Luckily, she has plenty of distractions to occupy her mind; being a foster parent for dogs, soothing clients through yoga and meditation, bringing people together at Kinnections. When her newest client proves to be a tough case, he not only challenges her but forces her to face feelings she’s determined to suppress.
Officer Stone Petty has snapped. He let his traumatic past overtake him during a domestic disturbance call, and now he’s signed up for mandatory anger management classes. This unorthodox class is moderated by Arilyn whom he has already had a few colorful run-ins with.
They’re constantly at each other’s throats, but the more they interact with each other, the more they realize that there feelings aren’t so easy to ignore.
The transition these two characters made from sworn enemies to well… I’ll let you see for yourself. But wow was it a whirlwind!
This book really had a great mixture of sexual chemistry and endearing connections amongst all the characters.
That’s what I love about this series. It has such a cohesive set of characters that it makes the reader feel like part of the family.
It was quite interesting to see Arilyn’s evil next door neighbor slowly begin to show that she has her heart. In fact there were several sweet, heartwarming moments in this book.
Stone and the cute little foster chihuahua, Pinky, had many adorable scenes that I must admit had me tearing up. That cute little pup didn’t just steal my heart, she stole Stone’s and really got him to start opening up. Arilyn and Pinky were such great influences on Stone and helped him heal from his troubling past immensely.
At the same time, Stone came into Arilyn’s life at the most opportune moment and helped along her path of heartbreak recovery. She too had issues to acknowledge and demons to release and Stone was just the man to help her through it.
I loved the epilogue and the full-circle vibe it had. The series could easily end here, but of course I’m hoping for more from this Searching for group.
