Synopsis

A painful realization that they can’t truly embrace the future until they’ve come to terms with the past leads them to discover the healing potential of forgiveness and the power of unconditional love.

Like the first two books in the series, The Truest of Words is a romantic tale that blends witty banter with passion and drama.

❤︎Review:

Sailor and Poppet’s story is complete!
By the time I had my hands on The Truest of Words, I was already immensely invested in these beautiful characters and their journey. Georgina Guthrie masterfully placed Aubrey and Daniel’s complicated and tension-filled relationship into words.

Guthrie’s writing is so effortless, that as I made my way through this series, I kept forgetting that these characters and the world they lived in didn’t actually exist. It was so real and raw that it felt authentic as if anyone I knew could’ve gone through it.
Never once did I roll my eyes at the things Daniel said or did. I wasn’t foolish enough to believe he was Prince Charming. I didn’t laugh absurdly at anything Aubrey said or did. Never did she come of as a damsel in distress. They weren’t perfect in the least, yet somehow to me they were perfectly un-perfect. They made mistakes, they had their high’s and low’s, and both had things they needed to overcome.

Aubrey and Daniel have had so many hurdles to jump through and it’s been a great ride to experience along with them. I enjoyed their little quirks and the powerful chemistry they had together. As a reader, I saw them grow as individuals, as friends, and as lovers. This isn’t something that many authors are able to lock down, but Guthrie has done it beautifully.
I loved seeing the way Aubrey and Daniel meshed so well with his family as well. Those moments were some of my favorite scenes. Aubrey integrated her self wonderfully into Daniel’s world, despite feeling initial intimidation. The supporting characters are another fantastic aspect on Guthrie’s part. Somehow she managed to create individual story lines for each of them that grabbed and pulled at our heartstrings, but never took away from the paths of the main characters.

From the first book to the last, the reader experiences cute and sexy romance, real-life struggles, humor, and powerful words that evoke emotions on every point of the spectrum. The key word in all three titles, words, will pop out in each book and leave you with an important message. Words have the ability to carry the weight of the world and just one word can hold so much power.
I recommend this series to readers looking for a romance with depth and passionate characters—passionate about not just each other, but life itself.
I eagerly await what Georgina Guthrie comes out with next!

Georgina Guthrie is a self-professed book hugger and compulsive diarist. Though GG now resides in Canada, she was born across the pond and still considers herself a Brit through and through, which may explain her frequent visits to her favourite local British import shop.

GG is often happiest when reading and writing, but she’s just as likely to be found hanging out with friends and family, almost certainly with a glass of red wine in one hand a bag of cheese and onion crisps in the other.
